Medical Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within a dynamic medical environment. This position involves working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center, where you will assist with both administrative and clinical tasks, ensuring that patients receive the best possible service.
Duties
Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Take and record vital signs accurately to monitor patient health.
Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns, fostering a supportive environment.
Support internal medicine practices by preparing patients for examinations and assisting during procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Coordinate with other medical staff to facilitate smooth operations within the clinic or hospital setting.
Prepare and maintain the operating room (OR) for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is sterile and ready for use.
Skills
Strong understanding of patient care practices in a medical setting.
Proficiency in taking vital signs and administering medications.
Experience providing medical administrative support, including managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly within trauma centers.
Excellent communication skills to enhance patient interactions and team collaboration.
Familiarity with internal medicine practices is preferred but not required.
Strong organizational skills to maintain an efficient workflow in both clinical and administrative tasks.
