As a Construction Management & Engineering Intern, you join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever evolving project needs.  This opportunity will be located at our client office in Chicago, IL and could have potential to be hybrid depending on the specific client, project and team needs.Key ResponsibilitiesAttend active project meetings, including construction progress and coordination sessionsPrepare and distribute meeting agendas and accurate meeting minutesTrack progress in the field through daily site walks using the 3‑Week Look‑Ahead schedule, report activity status and identify potential scheduling risks or delaysAssist in monitoring and reporting on-site safety and quality complianceMonitor RFI logs for overdue items or workflow bottlenecks and coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure timely responses and resolutionsSupport tracking and documentation of contract modifications while learning the various types of contract changes, how they occur, and why they are necessaryLearn about the role of submittals in contract and construction documentation while tracking submittal statuses, identifying delinquent items, and helping coordinate solutions with project teamsGain an understanding of construction contract documentation, including the types of documents typically included in contract packagesAssist in organizing, reviewing, and maintaining contract documents throughout the project lifecycleIdentify project deliverables and key contractual requirementsRequired QualificationsCurrently pursuing a four-year degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering from an accredited universityProficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, BluebeamHave a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal formsHave good to great organizational skills Preferred QualificationsPrior internship experienceBenefits401K (Must be 21 or older to participate)Part-Time PTOEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Sponsorship, housing or relocation are not available for this opportunity.  Ardmore Roderick is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
