Controls Engineer
The Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, commissioning, and updating control systems on automated machinery and equipment for business processes.Monday - Friday 8AM to 5PMKey Responsibilities:Assist in maintaining all control records for all equipment for the company.Create new or modify PLC programs for new control upgrades and improvements.Troubleshoot complex controls/mechanical related issues containing variable frequency drives, servo drives, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Assist in installing wiring for new equipment as required.Designs new control panels and make improvements to existing equipment as required.Schedule changes on equipment based on production needs.Look for opportunities to improve equipment efficiency or process improvements.Utilize AutoCAD Electrical to create and modify electrical drawings.Make out purchase requisitions for repair parts and replacement stock items.Responsible for training maintenance controls programmer.Be able to recognize process problems and help find solutions for them.Other duties may be assigned.Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment and methods.Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.Design and troubleshoot HVAC controls for the office and manufacturing area.Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner.Continually look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.Qualifications:* At least 3 years of progressively more responsible experience* A professional level of knowledge in a specialized field equivalent to that ordinarily acquired by completing a four-year baccalaureate program in an engineering field.Additional Requirements:* Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
