If you are invigorated by these exciting challenges, then this could be the right opportunity for you!What you'll do:Provide leadership, management and strategic direction with a focus on providing an exceptional client service experience, an environment where associates can learn and grow and financial success obtained through growth and sound fiscal decision makingTranslate firm vision and strategy into an actionable business plan, provide specific objectives to be accomplished and monitor progressTeam with marketing to develop sales and marketing plans, investigate and pursue areas for expansion of services within existing client base while also pursuing new clients, actively participate in proposalsCoordinate firm resources to ensure the best products and services are provided to clientsEnsure your team members are provided with meaningful training and development opportunities, are appropriately challenged by increasingly complex work, are presented with timely and thoughtful feedback and are positively recognized for their effortsOversee the profitability of the practice to include effective utilization of personnel, appropriate rates for services provided, timely collection of feesWork closely with client executives and management teams to understand their businesses and assist in identifying and managing financial and operational risks within their business systems to ensure technology risks are managed:Develop in-depth knowledge of clients' businesses and industries by having direct client interaction while working on multiple aspects of an engagementThink independently and strategically about your clients' business, systems and risks providing recommendations for business and process improvements based upon knowledge gained relative to the client's operations, processes and business objectivesProvide strategic business advice to clients by assisting in the implementation of new processes and controls that address key risksAssess, manage and optimize business risk across a wide range of areas, including operational audit, enterprise risk management (ERM) and SOX complianceReview clients' processes and controls against industry frameworks, identifying gaps in design and execution, and communicating issues and recommendations to clientsBe responsible for significant new business development, including identifying, sourcing, pursuing, and winning risk advisory opportunitiesProduce comprehensive executive summaries and final reports for delivery to the client, documenting and reviewing engagement work papers in accordance with industry-accepted internal audit methodologiesAct as a valued business advisor, build relationships and communicate effectively with the client to provide superior client serviceLead professional and effective presentations to internal and external audiencesQualificationsStrong candidates are recognized industry experts with well-rounded experience working with risk services, specifically:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, or related programCPA or CIA designation(s) required Ten (10)+ year(s) experience with risk advisory, internal/external audit, business process reengineering, and/or internal controls, with internal audit experience in the energy, technology, real estate, or healthcare preferredFive (5)+ year(s) of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associatesSuccessful track record of building and growing a Risk Advisory practice, including building a team, a client base and managing revenueProven track record of new business developmentAbility to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects.Ability to travel as needed for client engagementsSummaryLocation: USA TX Houston 500 Dallas StType: Full time
