This team delivers high-quality service, start-up, and troubleshooting support for complex HVAC systems, working closely with contractors, engineers, and factory partners to ensure reliable system performance and long-term customer satisfaction.The HVAC Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, starting up, and maintaining commercial HVAC equipment while delivering exceptional customer support. This role works closely with service leadership, controls teams, and project partners to support both routine service calls and complex system troubleshooting, including building automation controls (BAC) integration.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC systemsSupport equipment start-ups, commissioning, and warranty-related service workDiagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues and recommend corrective actionsAssist with building automation controls (BAC) troubleshooting, integration, and optimizationComplete service documentation including work orders, service reports, and warranty informationCommunicate clearly with service leadership, customers, and internal teams regarding system status and repairsFollow all safety procedures and ensure service work is completed in compliance with applicable standardsParticipate in on-call rotations as requiredMaintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, and engineering partnersSupport continuous improvement by providing feedback on equipment performance and service trendsRequired Qualifications5+ years of commercial HVAC service experienceStrong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment diagnostics, and troubleshootingExperience performing equipment start-ups and field service supportFamiliarity with building automation controls (BAC), including basic diagnostics and field troubleshootingAbility to read and interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawingsStrong communication skills and a customer-focused mindsetProficiency with service software platforms and Microsoft Windows environmentsEPA certification required (Universal preferred)Preferred SkillsExperience supporting complex commercial HVAC systems and mission-critical environmentsControls exposure including BMS, BAS, or DDC systemsManufacturer training or factory start-up experienceStrong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple service callsSolutions-oriented approach and ability to work independently in the fieldPhysical & Behavioral ExpectationsReasonable accommodations may be provided as needed.
