Physical Therapy Assistant Location: Janesville, WI Agency: Ambition 24Hours Pay: $2,648 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Travel Physical Therapist Assistant Skilled Nursing/Rehab Janesville, WI Role overview A Physical Therapist Assistant is needed for a full time day shift contract at a skilled nursing/post acute rehab facility in Janesville, WI, working with adult and geriatric residents under the direction of a licensed PT. This 13 week new opening focuses on functional mobility, strength, and safe discharge in a SNF setting. Assignment details Location: Skilled nursing/post acute rehab facility, Janesville, WI 53545 Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) / post acute rehab Position type: Contract, full-time, non permanent Contract length: 13 weeks (02/23/26 05/23/26) Schedule: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, 30 minute unpaid meal break Days: Facility can schedule Mon Sun as needed (day shift) Guaranteed hours: 35 hours per week Gross Blended Pay Rate - $33- $40 per hour Order reason: New opening Key responsibilities Implement PT treatment plans as directed by the supervising PT, focusing on mobility, balance, strength, and functional independence. Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and the use of walkers, canes, and other assistive devices. Observe and document patient responses to treatment and promptly report changes to the PT. Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety strategies to support carryover after discharge. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR, including daily notes and progress toward PT goals. Required qualifications and skills Active Wisconsin PTA license (or eligibility prior to start). Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current BLS/CPR for healthcare providers. Previous SNF or post acute rehab experience preferred; strong new grads considered. Solid communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
