The organization is focused on building strong leadership teams, improving operational performance, and delivering high-quality resident care across its facilities.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and hands-on Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations within a skilled nursing facility. Strong candidates will oversee nursing staff, maintain regulatory compliance, support quality resident outcomes, and help foster a positive and accountable clinical culture throughout the facility.The ideal candidate is proactive, operationally strong, adaptable, and capable of thriving within a fast-paced healthcare environment.Location: Rochester, NYEmployment Type: Full-Time, OnsiteSalary Range: $115,000 – $145,000 USD /AnnuallyBenefits: Healthcare Benefits, PTO, Vacation Package, 401(k), etc.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all nursing operations within the facilityLead, mentor, and support nursing staff across departmentsEnsure compliance with all state and federal healthcare regulationsMaintain ongoing survey readiness and implement corrective action plans when necessaryCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes and operational performanceMonitor staffing, scheduling, workflows, and nursing performanceSupport infection prevention, quality assurance, and clinical improvement initiativesBuild and maintain a positive culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and resident careProvide leadership support during audits, inspections, and regulatory reviewsEnsure proper documentation standards and clinical best practices are consistently followedQualificationsActive RN license in the applicable statePrevious Director of Nursing (DON), Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), or strong nursing leadership experience within skilled nursing or long-term care settingsStrong knowledge of regulatory compliance, survey readiness, and healthcare operationsProven leadership and staff management experienceExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to perform effectively within fast-paced environmentsStrong understanding of clinical workflows, staffing coordination, and patient care standardsAbility to lead with professionalism, accountability, and a team-oriented mindsetCompensationThe published salary range is used as a guide to provide prospective candidates with a level of compensation that is competitive with today's market.
