Software Engineer (Flight Reliability)
Overview
In this role you own and build highly reliable software used across SpaceX to streamline launch vehicle production and flight. You’ll develop new applications, prototype key concepts, and work closely with cross-functional teams on architecture and code reviews. Your work directly supports SpaceX’s mission and rising operational tempo. This role offers ownership of impactful software at a mission-driven company with a focus on reliability and scalable systems.

Key requirementsBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline OR 2+ years of software experience1+ years of full stack developmentExperience in Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java or similar OO language1+ years building single page web applicationsExperience with version control, CI/CD conceptsExpertise in designing software systemsExperience profiling and improving application performanceExperience in deploying agentic AI systems including LLM prompting, context retrieval, evaluation, and monitoringProduction experience with DockerFront-end experience with Angular, React or similarDatabase experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server or similarTeam collaboration on architecture, design, and code reviewsPythonC#.NETGoScalaJava
