This role adapts daily duties based on the evolving needs of the practice, ensuring flexible and responsive support.Essential Responsibilities:Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk clients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging calls appropriately while offering reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients.Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery throughout patient visits by ensuring medical records are accurate, complete, and up to date.Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints; observe and communicate abnormal symptoms to physicians and document findings thoroughly.Support physicians during testing, treatment procedures, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints, dressings, and managing sample medications.Coordinate patient testing, admissions, referrals, and follow-up on test results, ensuring patients are well-informed about physician instructions and treatment plans.Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs as prescribed, while assisting in patient education and confirming understanding of medication and treatment usage.Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments and equipment.Carry out additional duties as assigned, adapting to the dynamic needs of the clinical environment.Education and Experience Required:Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program is required.Work Shift: 8:00am 4:30pm (regional healthcare setting in the Midwest)Scheduled Weekly Hours: PRN/part-time
