Onsite Quality Control Coordinator
Quality Control SpecialistConducts various quality control activities and assists with the application and monitoring of established inspection procedures and methods. Inspect and evaluate received/installed equipment and materials to ensure the highest level of quality for final products. Responsible for rejecting items that do not meet specifications and/or EAS established quality standards. Be familiar with various types of testing equipment and how to interpret results.QA Responsibilities:Review and understand job specifications for quality related scopesReview and understand job drawings (flow diagrams, boundaries, etc)Review and understand job submissionsImplement QCP plan for specific projectQC Responsibilities:Perform receiving inspections of material and equipmentVerify component verification of major equipment per approved submissionWitness EAS welding quality assurance procedure is being implemented including current weld documentation(IE: WPS, PQR, Weld Log, Weld Travelers, Weld Stamps)Overseeing the installation of all mechanical scopes including sub-contract workVerify all mechanical testing, flushing and cleaning is executed per contract documentsImplement non-conformance and corrective actions programMaintain turn over documentation throughout project in hard and digital formatsCommissioning responsibilities (when applicable):Witness Factory Acceptance Testing on required Mechanical equipmentCoordinate Pipe Flushing, Cleaning Disinfecting (sometimes with 3rd party vendor)Coordinate Mechanical Start-up activities with supplying vendors and or qualified techniciansCoordinate Commissioning activities with (3rd party) Cx group, EAS support, client and other sub-contractorsEDUCATION:A minimum of a two (2) year business, construction management or mechanical engineering degreeCertified Welding Inspector (CWI) qualification is desirableHands-on or on-the-job training is available when necessary as well as continued education training.JOB REQUIREMENTS / SPECIAL SKILLS:Good Documentation Practices (GDP)Ability to read / interpret isometric drawings, schematics and flow diagramsFamiliar with various types of testing equipmentGood digital and verbal communication skills with employees, clients and other contractorsProfessional and positive attitudeOpen minded with a vision for continuous improvementAbility to take on more responsibility as the business grows.Computer programs (Word, Excel, BIM, Bluebeam, Gmail & Cloud-based servers)Quick to understand new proceduresAbility to be flexible in work hours due to after hours testing sometimes required
