Director of Quality Assurance

Judge Direct Placement is a seeking a degreed Director of Food Safety & Quality Assurance in Fresno, CA area. They will provide direction for all Quality programs and Food Safety Systems throughout the company. The qualified candidate will work with all departments in the company to provide leadership and guidance on Quality and Food Safety requirements.Responsibilities:Develop and implement a Quality policy for several facilitiesCreate a product testing program for all facilitiesOversee Master SchedulesSupervise Verification programsManage sanitation programsProvide technical guidanceManage internal audit programsResponsible for product recalls, perform mock recalls for all manufacturing locationsAnalyze customer complaint data and implement corrective action strategiesAnalyze laboratory results and implement corrective actionsDevelop metrics and benchmarking for company performanceNetwork with other organizations in the industryDevelop working relationships with regulatory agenciesDevelop quality and product safety reviewsRequirements:10+ years' experience management level experience in food manufacturing industryBachelor's degree required, master's degree preferredBusiness experience excluding budget and cost managementUSDA/FDA knowledgeKnowledge of sanitary facility and Equipment DesignKnowledge of Third Part Audit Standards, specifically GFSI schemesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong leadership skillsSelf directedProficient in computer software
