Ski Concierge

OverviewBe among the first 25 applicants. This is a full-time seasonal position requiring four, 10-hour shifts per week from 7am to 5pm. Wage: $16.00 /hr plus tips. Schedule: This job requires weekends and holidays.Primary Purpose Of Position: Ski Valet will extend the highest level of personalized service to all guests and patrons of the ski valet. Valets are also responsible for transferring ski equipment and gear to and from the Gorsuch Ski Café for hotel guests.ResponsibilitiesReport to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as outlined in the Employee Handbook.Maintain a teamwork orientation towards co-workers.Serve guests in every possible way, exhibiting a friendly and positive attitude to ensure an enjoyable and relaxing stay.Make the pick-up and drop-off transfers of all ski equipment between the hotel and ski valet.Control inventory of ski equipment and manage to minimize any loss.Maintain a constant presence at the Ski Valet to ensure guest satisfaction in a timely manner.Assist guests with storage and retrieval of ski equipment.Advise guests of all in-house venues and activities.Report any unsafe conditions or suspicious activity to the Ski Valet Supervisor or Manager on Duty.Perform frequent cleaning/maintenance on ski racks and all ski valet areas.QualificationsMinimum of 1 year Customer Service experience.Good physical condition, able to carry heavy loads.Excellent communications skills, attention to detail, ability to "think on your feet," and must be well organized as well as personable & polite.Must be able to work outside and inside in all weather conditions.Essential Physical RequirementsMust be in uniform; a clean and neat appearance is a must.Must be able to stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift, 8-12 hours.Must be able to lift 10 to 50 pounds for the duration of the shift.Employee ConductIt is the responsibility of every employee to contribute to a positive work environment through cooperative and professional interactions with co-workers, guests and vendors.Seasonal & Part-Time BenefitsResort DiscountsHoliday Pay & Sick Pay401(k) Retirement Plan & Roth 401(k) (After one year and 1000 hours worked)Employee Assistance ProgramParking Credit or Discounted Bus PassesEmployee MealThis job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the position and it is not intended to be an exhaustive list of skills, efforts, duties, responsibilities or working conditions associated with the position.
