Are you ready to go beyond?What You Will Do:Hot Section Module Center is looking to hire a CNC Programmer to support machining new parts in our Special Technologies business.The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in a high technology, advanced program environment incorporating the latest manufacturing readiness assessment tools. They will partner with engineering, operations, and suppliers to evaluate the most efficient and cost-effective process design. The ideal candidate will develop manufacturing process alternatives based on improved manufacturability and producibility. Primary location in East Hartford CT and up to 20% travel may be required.Responsibilities:Develop tooling, process parameters, and controls to create a capable and stable processDevelop, test, and implement programs to machine hardware (milling, turning, grind, etc.)Create work instructions for development hardwarePerform technology and process development tasks; including, first piece runs, measurement system analysis and capability assessmentsImplementation of lean process improvements activities to meet schedule and cost targetsQualifications You Must Have:Bachelor of Science Degree in applicable field preferably Manufacturing Engineering. In lieu of degree, 8+ years of applicable experience required5+ Experience in CNC machine programmingExperience with Milling & TurningCAD experience is required.Must be a US Citizen due to Government ContractsQualifications We Prefer:Proficiency in the application of continuous improvement tools: Process Certification, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, PFMEA, Six Sigma and/or Red-X
