Shipping, Receiving, and Delivery Driver

We value teamwork, integrity, quality, innovation, and dynamic engagement.We have a great opportunity for a Delivery Driver to join our team in our Chicago, IL location.In this role your main responsibility will be as a Pick-up and Delivery Driver on a daily basis.Job ResponsibilitiesEnter a variety of data using current technology, helping to maintain inventory control.Keeps Trescal's ERP System up to date with pertinent shipping and receiving information.Responsible for the integrity of system inventory data for their assigned areas of responsibilityResponsible for the organization and cleanliness of their assigned inventory areasResponsible to maintain records as required by the quality systemAppropriately package and ship equipment to our customers and vendors. You will verify that accessories and options are documented according to shipping policies.Receive, unpack, and account for the contents of all inbound orders.Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against documentation and identify discrepancies and damage with incoming shipments.Research and implement shipping options for unusual packaging situations or customer requirements.Initiate and manage shipping claims through to resolution, including maintaining contact with delivery service and the affected customer as required.Use UPS (Worldship) and Fed-Ex to generate shipping labels.Maintain relationships with UPS, FedEx, and any other relevant parcel sales contacts.Performs database equipment entry and validations. Verify manufacturer/model/serial numbersEquipment identification and customer requirement verificationsDrive a truck or van to locations to transport materials and equipment to and from customer sites. Extensive driving will be required at least 1-2 times per week.Maintain accurate records of pickups, deliveries, and required documentationHandle, load, and secure items to prevent damage during transportInventory client assets upon pick-upPerform basic vehicle inspections and report maintenance needsProvide professional, courteous service when interacting with customers at their facilitiesFollow all safety procedures, traffic laws, and company policiesAssist with shipping, receiving and other logistics tasks as neededRequirementsA high school diploma, GED, or equivalentThe ability to lift up to 70lbsValid drivers license and clean driving record required (CDL NOT required)Previous experience in a customer facing rolePrevious work experience in a shipping and receiving roleExperience using shipping software such as: UPS WorldShip or Fed-ExPrior experience driving a company vehicle including pickup and delivery of equipment and/or suppliesQualifications:Strong communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsIntermediate computer skillsStrong attention to detail and reliabilityFamiliarity with local routes and basic navigation toolsBenefits:We believe people are the most important part of every business, which is why we offer more than just great health insurance plans at a great rate.
