Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Construction Estimator

We are looking for an experienced (5+ years) MEP Estimator, with experience in estimating from blueprints but also estimating from visiting job sites to come up with job costs to put together proposals. We primarily work on Multi Family projects (condo, townhome and apartment buildings) performing Interior and exterior capital projects. We Require:-Experience Valid Driver License Computer literate Professional Punctual and reliable In Return we offer:Bonuses 401K matching up to 3%-Health insurance including Medical, Dental and Vision Computer Paid Holidays and Vacation time Job Type: Full-time Benefits:401(k)401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Ability to commute/relocate: Concordia, KS or Manhattan, KS Job DescriptionPrepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for MEP construction projects Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine project requirements Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes Utilize construction estimating software, such as HeavyBid or Bluebeam, to create comprehensive estimates Evaluate and compare subcontractor bids to ensure competitive pricing Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project scope and potential challenges Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options Prepare and present estimates to clients or management for review and approval Participate in negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, practices, and techniques Proficiency in using construction estimating software (e.g., HeavyBid, Bluebeam)Excellent mathematical and analytical skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Strong attention to detail and accuracy Effective communication and negotiation skills Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
