Senior Permitting Specialist

You will take ownership of environmental and land-use permitting across multiple projects, working closely with internal teams, consultants, and regulatory bodies to move projects from early-stage development through approval.Key responsibilities include:Leading local, state, and federal permitting processes across multiple jurisdictionsPreparing and managing permit applications and supporting documentationRepresenting the company in public meetings, hearings, and stakeholder engagementsManaging environmental review processes including:WetlandsEndangered speciesCultural/archaeological resourcesWatershed and water useAir permitting and engineering reviewsCoordinating and managing external consultants and technical advisorsSupporting project siting, mapping, and planning alongside GIS teamsContributing to community engagement strategiesMonitoring and analyzing evolving regulatory and policy frameworksSupporting broader project development strategy and executionWhat We’re Looking ForDegree in Environmental Studies, Planning, or a related field7+ years of environmental permitting experienceStrong working knowledge of:NEPA processesU.S. Army Corps of EngineersU.S. Fish & Wildlife ServiceState Historic Preservation OfficesState Public Utility CommissionsExperience navigating state and local zoning / land-use processesConfident communicator with experience presenting to public and regulatory audiencesAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environmentStrong organizational and problem-solving skills
