Children's Behavior Interventionist

Progressive Behavior Systems has an opening for a Behavior Interventionist to work with children during the day, Mon - Friday 8:30am - 6:00pm in Hailey, ID. Candidates must have a bachelors degree in the human service field and 1080 hours of experience working with children with developmental disabilities. If you are not certified, we will help with this process. Wage is $20 - $25 an hour depending on experience. A behavior interventionist typically works with specific individuals who have been identified as exhibiting problematic behaviors. These behaviors could be disruptive to the other individuals in the setting, or they could be harmful to the individual's own progress. Behavior interventionists develop targeted strategies to reduce problematic behaviors and encourage productive behaviors through means such as positive reinforcement. Common job duties include: Working closely with the individual and with other professionals, such as teachers, to assess the client's behaviors and create a specially designed plan Implementing the plan Providing ongoing assessments of progress Creating general strategies for behavior assessment Conflict resolution Crisis intervention Assisting other professionals who work with the client in their daily environment Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Education: Associate (Required) Ability to Commute: Hailey, ID 83333 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Hailey, ID 83333: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
