ResponsibilitiesPerform the detailed design of RF, analog and digital circuit card assemblies and printed circuit boards (PCB’s) to meet industry standards.Review customer’s requirements with engineers to determine the practicability and feasibility relative to performance, cost, time, etc.Coordinate with engineers to establish the basic design approach on a project.Provide technical advice and guidance to engineers, designers and drafters in matters related to the final product design and in accordance with the established designed perimeters.Advise and coordinates cost reductions as related to design and fabrication.Provide liaison outside the company with suppliers to accomplish PCB design functions.Assist in proposal preparations relative to PCB design and drafting material cost, manpower hours, schedules, etc.Responsible for establishing and maintaining files including schematics, parts lists, assembly drawings and PCB routing drawings and reproductions and records necessary to the orderly operation of document control and design-drafting.QualificationsBachelor’s degree Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent and a minimum of 9 years prior experience or Master’s degree and a minimum of 7 years prior experience.5-10 years’ design experienceSkills preferred: single layer/multi layer boards, surface mount technology, hybrid technology5 years of electrical, mechanical, and/or electro-mechanical design experience of which a minimum of two years have been PCB design work on DC circuits and/or RF design work preferred.Costpoint, ERP systems, Microsoft Office proficiency. Mentor PADS and Logic or equivalent required. Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD a benefit.
