Equipment Operator
Overview
SEMS, Inc is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to work out of our Baton Rouge or Mandeville location. SEMS is an Environmental Management Firm with a multi-disciple approach to offer our clients environmental engineering, environmental construction, demolition, and remediation services. SEMS provides turnkey solutions to complex problems.
Essential Job Functions:
· Excavator, Dozer, Skid Steer, Tractor Operator experience (minimum 3 years’ experience)
· Safely load dump trucks, excavate soils, demolish buildings
· Excavate or cut to grade
· Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
· Maintain activity logs
· Operate assigned machine in safe and efficient manner
· Working experience or certification on assigned machine(s)
· Able to meet deadlines
· Must possess a valid driver’s license
· Must meet physical requirements necessary to perform job responsibilities
Preferred Job Functions:
· 40 Hour Hazwoper training
· TWIC Card
· Experience in environmental remediation projects
· Torch cutting and/or welding
· Basic plumbing and mechanical maintenance
Benefits & Compensation:
· $22 – 35 per hour
· Per diem for travel
· Overtime
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
