Evening Shift Lead

About Us Candy Cloud is Glenview's go-to spot for coffee, handcrafted creamery treats, and desserts. We're looking for an energetic, dependable *Evening Shift Lead* to help run the show during our busy evening hours and make sure every guest leaves happy. What You'll Do *Team & Shift Leadership* * Lead and supervise evening staff, assigning stations and tasks to keep the shift running smoothly * Act as the manager on duty during evening hours, handling day-to-day decisions and staff questions * Train, coach, and support team members on procedures, recipes, and customer service standards * Step in on any station (register, counter, kitchen) as needed to keep service moving *Food & Beverage Prep* * Prep ingredients for coffee drinks, ice cream, and dessert items ahead of and during the evening rush * Ensure food and beverage items are prepared to recipe and presentation standards * Monitor inventory levels of prepped items and restock as needed throughout the shift * Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines during all prep work *Customer Service* * Deliver friendly, attentive service and set the tone for the team's guest interactions * Resolve customer questions, concerns, or complaints promptly and professionally * Ensure orders are accurate and prepared in a timely manner * Maintain a welcoming atmosphere throughout the store during evening hours *Closing Responsibilities* * Oversee and execute end-of-day closing procedures, including cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing all stations * Count and reconcile the register/cash drawer and prepare deposits per company procedure * Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, shut down, and stored * Complete closing checklists, including trash removal, restocking for the next day, and securing the store * Lock up and set alarm, ensuring the store is fully secured before leaving *Operations* * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including dining area, kitchen, and storage * Monitor and help maintain inventory, alerting management to low stock or supply needs * Follow all health, safety, and company policies * Report any equipment issues, maintenance needs, or incidents to management What We're Looking For * Previous experience in a coffee shop, ice cream shop, bakery, or restaurant setting preferred * Prior leadership, shift lead, or supervisory experience a plus * Strong customer service skills with a friendly, upbeat attitude * Ability to multitask and stay calm during busy evening rushes * Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with closing/end-of-night responsibilities * Basic math skills for handling cash and register duties * Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs * Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Why Join Candy Cloud? * Fun, fast-paced environment * Employee discounts on coffee, ice cream, and treats * Opportunities for growth into management roles * Supportive team culture Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: * Paid time off Work Location: In person
