Job DescriptionNEW Chief Medical Officer Opportunity - Rural Eastern OregonWe are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Physician (MD or DO) to serve as Chief Medical Officer for a rural health system that includes a Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic. This is a permanent, full-time leadership position combining both administrative and clinical responsibilities within a collaborative, mission-driven healthcare environment.Position SummaryThe Chief Medical Officer will provide physician leadership and direction for medical staff, clinical quality, and patient safety initiatives while maintaining an active clinical practice. This role partners closely with senior leadership to support strategic planning, clinical program development, and medical staff engagement.Responsibilities Include:Align physicians and providers with the mission, vision, and values of the organizationLead patient safety and clinical quality initiatives and performance improvementSupport development of standards of care and evidence-based practicesAssist with HCAHPS performance improvementServe as physician advisor for case management and utilization reviewSupport Medical Staff leadership and Medical Executive CommitteeChair or participate in key physician committeesServe as liaison to the Board, Quality Committee, and community stakeholdersSupport physician leadership developmentAnd much more!
