Field Engineer

Field EngineerOklahoma City, OKWe are working with a growing commercial construction group in the Oklahoma City market that is looking to add a Field Engineer to their team. This is a hands-on role that connects the plans to the work in the field and plays a key part in keeping projects accurate and on track.Position Overview:The Field Engineer supports field operations by ensuring layout, alignment, and quality are executed correctly. This role works closely with the Superintendent and trade partners to translate construction documents into real-world results on the jobsite.Key Responsibilities:Assist with layout and establish building control on siteSupport QA/QC efforts across all phases of constructionWork closely with field leadership to ensure work is installed per plansCoordinate with subcontractors to maintain accuracy and flow of workTrack and document as-builts for utilities and key building componentsVerify alignment, elevations, and placement of structural and interior elementsMaintain clear communication with the project teamAreas of Focus:Site work and gradingFoundations and anchor boltsUnderground and in-wall utilitiesInterior layout and framingOverhead layout and ceiling systemsQualifications:Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and submittalsExperience with layout tools such as total station, laser level, or similar equipmentFamiliarity with Procore or similar construction softwareStrong attention to detail and willingness to learn in the fieldUnderstanding of basic construction safety standardsOSHA 10 preferredCAD experience is a plus
