YOUR TASKS
FORVIA - HELLA is seeking its next great hardware designer to join our team. The primary function of this role is to take ownership of assigned electric vehicle related projects including a next generation battery management system. This individual will be joining a well established team that is helping to move the electric vehicle market forward.

Daily Responsibilities
Review OEM customer requirements to create cutting edge hardware design
Conduct circuit simulations and worst case circuit analysis (WCCA) to support program design
Manage testing process including plan creation, data analysis, reporting and recommendations.
Work with system and software engineering teams.
Prepare program documentation including schematics, bill of materials, hardware software specification, and DFMEA.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
5+ years hardware development experience including advanced fundamental electrical design knowledge.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent by combination of education and years of experience.
Knowledge of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) design.
Preferred but not Required Skills
Prior experience working with Mathcad and DOORS
Demonstrated skills in schematic capture.
Dynamic printed circuit board layout design.
Previous experience designing Battery Management Systems
