Network Security Engineer
Our client is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer with deep expertise in the Fortinet security ecosystem and a minimum of 5 years in a similar role. This position requires strong hands-on skills in designing, deploying, and managing network security solutions using Fortinet technologies such as FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiMonitor, and FortiClient EMS.In office position with 1 day remote! Must currently reside in Arizona. No relocation assistance or relocation package is available.No visa sponsorship is available now or in the future.What you get to go do in this exciting role:Design and implement secure network environments utilizing the complete suite of Fortinet productsAdminister and optimize FortiGate firewalls, including high-availability setups, VPN configurations (IPSec/SSL), and UTM functionalitiesOversee centralized security management through FortiManager and FortiAnalyzerIdentify, investigate, and respond to security alerts, threats, and incidentsConduct periodic security risk assessments and support compliance effortsDocument configurations, procedures, and security standardsAct as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex technical issues and collaborate with other IT teamsParticipate in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support as neededWhat you need to be successful in this role:At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a network security engineering roleAdvanced proficiency with Fortinet tools, including FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiClient EMSFortinet NSE 4 certification required; higher-level certifications (NSE 5–7) strongly preferredStrong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systemsExperience with security segmentation, remote access solutions, and threat mitigationSolid grasp of network routing and switching technologies (BGP, OSPF, etc.)Proven problem-solving abilities and analytical thinkingThese would be a PLUSIntegration experience with identity platforms like Azure AD or OktaScripting or automation knowledge (e.g., Python, Ansible)Familiarity with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and associated security frameworksBackground in regulated industries such as finance or healthcare is a plusIf this sounds exciting and you meet the requirements, APPLY TODAY!
