Mechanical Assembler
The Mechanical Assembler will assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment per required specifications in a specific area of a manufacturing organization.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesRead, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and productsUtilize hand held tools such as a hand-held screw and drill gunMaintain inventory of product in work stationsPerform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standardsIdentify product defects and ensure supervision is notifiedRework and/or repair assembled equipment per instructionsPerform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety proceduresMaintain a clean and safe work areaQualification RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDGood verbal communication skillsMechanical assembly experienceBasic reading skills. Must be able to follow directionsAbility to perform work accurately and thoroughlyAbility to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problemsHigh attention to detail and self-motivation skillsTechnical or vocational training or certification a plus; may be required to pass basic skills testPhysical Demands And AbilitiesRegularly lift 30-50 poundsRegularly perform repetitive tasksRegularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accuratelyGood vision and ability to focusMay be required to stand for extended periods of timeDue to the nature of Rotron's programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the US and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.
