This is a part-time, day shift position. 3 shifts/week, 7am - 3pm.

Major Responsibilities:
Greets individuals entering the unit, provides directions and information. Registers patients in EMR system and prepares charts according to protocols.
Manages communication systems, relays messages accurately, and submits service tickets for system support.
Maintains patient confidentiality under HIPPA and abides by organizational standards.
Prepares, compiles, and maintains the patient's medical record on the nursing unit utilizing Stamford Hospital's EMR and communication systems.
Processes patient care from admission through discharge, including billing.
Coordinates bookings for Cesarian sections, inductions, and External Cephalic Versions, ensuring accurate scheduling updates and clear communication with staff.
Uses critical thinking and decisive judgement to respond appropriately to complex situations.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
Basic computer skills
Excellent telephone/customer service/communication skills
Minimum 2 years' experience in similar position preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
