The team supports New Product Introduction (NPI) and Current Product Improvement (CPI) activities for cooling and aftertreatment components and systems. The analyses the team performs can be very challenging, involving complex phenomena such as engine and machine vibration and forced response, material nonlinearities, exotic materials and complex geometries.Education & ExperienceBS in Mechanical Engineering or Related Engineering Field plus 5-7MS similarly plus 2-4PhD similarly plus 1-2Required Technical SkillsUnderstanding of dynamics, material properties and fatigue Experience with structural simulations for static, vibration, transient dynamic, boundary and material nonlinear, fracture and fatigue life, bolted joint, and welded structures Experience with ABAQUS and Hypermesh Experience in machine dynamic simulation Experiences in nonmetallic structural simulation, user defined material behavior modeling, and component interaction modeling Experiences in machine and structural design and validation Pro/E skills sufficient for FE model preparationWe are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and global team.
