Garage Fleet and Farm MechanicAbout the RoleWe're looking for a skilled, reliable Mechanic to join our team and support the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of a diverse fleet - including automobiles, trucks, tractors, RTVs, and specialized farm equipment such as Bauer irrigation reels. The ideal candidate brings strong diagnostic ability, hands-on expertise, and a commitment to safe, high-quality workmanship.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment.Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and computer-based issues across a wide range of vehicles and machinery.Repair or replace malfunctioning components to restore safe, reliable operation.Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.Work on-site or off-site as needed, including occasional after-hours on-call support.Follow all company, safety, and environmental standards.Required Skills & QualificationsProven ability to work effectively in a team environment.Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing engines, brakes, transmissions, electrical systems, and onboard computer systems.Strong technical aptitude and willingness to stay current with evolving technologies.Excellent communication skills for explaining repairs and setting clear expectations.High attention to detail, strong organization, and consistent safety awareness.Experience with farm machinery and vehicles, including tractors, RTVs, and irrigation reelsDeep understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, gas, electrical, and pneumatic systems.Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and the ability to read schematics and technical manuals.Welding and fabrication experience required.CDL preferredSoft SkillsStrong mechanical intuition and analytical problem-solving ability.Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy components; comfortable working indoors and outdoors.Meticulous recordkeeping and attention to detail.Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly wage: $23-$30, based on experience.401(k) retirement plan.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off (PTO).Natorp's is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
