Electrical Design Engineer – Cables Harnesses & PCB

This is 100% onsite role in Fremont, CA 94538. Regular shift M-F.Top skills:Cable Design, PCB experience, AC Power Distribution Experience: Large-scale system-level design experience involving different sub components.Cable and cable harness designPCB design & layout experience preferredRS232, Ethernet, Ethercat bus experience preferred208/408VAC, breakers, contactors, and distribution box design preferredSafety Certification, S22 preferred24VDC digital IO preferredSAP/Product-Lifecycle-Management online documentation systemRequirements:Must be self-directed/independent as well as able to work in a teamGood communication and presentation skillsStrong computer proficiencyAbility to handle multiple tasks and manage prioritiesSchematic capture CAD experience; OrCAD preferredBOM management software experienceProficiency in MS Office products required.Must be motivated; the job requires a “Sherlock Holmes attitude” to find the correct resource/tool owner or technical expert.Min: BS in Electrical/Electronic EngineeringResponsibilities:Design and modify IO and power cables and PCBs.Find component replacements and test obsolete/End of life componentsDrive solutions to field problem reports.Conduct design reviews when necessaryCheck electrical drawings and schematics before production releaseWork with mechanical and software engineers to solve field and/or new design problemsBOM (Bill of Material) structuring for new/updated partsOnline documentation in a Product-Lifecycle-Management systemOur Client is a Fortune 350 company that engages in the design, manufacturing, marketing, and service of semiconductor processing equipment.
