Supervisor III (A115 & A55)

Plan, schedule, coordinate and control resources to ensure the efficient manufacturing of heat treatment and management of workshop.Maintain production schedule and productivity.Transform the plant manager's strategic mission into a section-specific vision and mission.Read, interpret, implement, and ensure compliance with Product Specifications, Product Manufacturing Instructions (PMI), Facility Operating Instructions (FOI) and Control Plans (CP).Ensure staff are trained and competent as per PMI, FOI, CP, Special safety rules, and explosive regulations.Maintain environment housekeeping standards and SHE requirements in line with organisational requirements.Analyse production data such as shift output and rectify bottlenecks.Generate non-conformance reports.Lead and manage the implementation and maintenance of LEAN principles and methodologies within the respective facility, including Continuous Improvements.Responsible and ethical leadership with a strong ability to maintain discipline.Knowledge of daily reports and accuracy of information.Manage consumables and stationery, issue, record, monitor and load requests on the SAP ERP system.Monitor maintenance schedules, observe trends and give corrective actions if applicable.Attention to detail.Manage and monitor scrap and waste; determine the cause of the deviation and initiate corrective action.Drive the closure of safety and quality-related issues.Responsible for monitoring stock levels at the plant & workshop.Communicate daily targets to the team and provide feedback to the Line Manager.Willing to work shifts and overtime as required by the business.Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance with ISO Standards with respect to SHE /Quality /Environmental/Energy.WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVENational Diploma Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or equivalent qualification.At least 5 years' experience working in manufacturing /workshop environment of which 2 years should have been in a supervisory level.Explosive manufacturing experience would be advantageous.Knowledge of ERP system and Team Centre.Knowledge of handling hazardous substances.Knowledge of heat treatment.Knowledge of workshop machinery.Ability to make decisions, take initiative and demonstrate sound judgement.Good problem solving and leadership skills.Good planning skills and time management.Proven ability to take responsibility and high level of integrity.Willing to work shifts as required by the business.Computer Literacy.A valid Driver's LicenseWHAT WE OFFER YOUCompetitive compensation package with incentive bonus and pension fundMedical SchemesStable employer backgroundOpportunity to work on major projects within our Weapons and Ammunition DivisionExtensive Employee Assistance Program to support overall health and wellbeingCareer development and progress opportunitiesIndividual and diverse training opportunities and programs (Bursary Schemes)Subsidized canteen on site with themed days and multiple dietary optionsInnovative and dynamic working environment and cultureWork as part of a team with real purpose in what we doParticipation in (international) Rheinmetall activities and eventsJetzt bewerben!
