Vulcan Elements is building a team of ambitious professionals committed to Mission Focus, Technical Excellence and Transparency.As the IT Manager, you will lead information technology, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure functions. This includes architecting IT environments and hardware for ramp-up into full scale manufacturing environments.ResponsibilitiesOversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT systems across all facilities, including secure networks, server infrastructures, and industrial equipment integrationsEstablish cybersecurity architecture, policies, and controls aligned with company risk posture and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST 800-171, CUI, ITAR/EAR where applicable)Build and scale internal IT processes, including support ticketing, asset management, onboarding/offboarding, and change managementPartner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Data Informatics to support factory automation, data collection, and digital workflows without disrupting production uptimeManage relationships with hardware suppliers, service & security vendors, and other third-parties critical to the IT roadmapDefine and maintain IT standards, documentation, access controls, backup/recovery plans, and disaster-recovery proceduresResponsibilities and tasks outlined are not exhaustive and may change as determined by the needs of the businessQualifications6+ years in IT, with at least 2+ years in a manufacturing environment2+ years demonstrated leadership experience in IT with ownership of architecture, security, and operational deliveryBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)Proven track record of successfully and managing information technology systems in a regulated environment. Preference for experience with NIST SP-800-171 controls, CMMC, ITAR, etc.Hands-on leadership, comfortable getting hands on as a core contributor to Vulcan's scale up while also building scalable systems and processesMust be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
