As a dental hygienist you willpromote dental health by completing dental prophylaxis; providing oral cancerscreening and radiographic studies; charting conditions of decay and disease;performing procedures in compliance with the dental practice act.Duties include:-Prepares patient for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, soothing, seating,and draping patient.-Maintains instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening,sterilizing, and selecting instruments.-Selects materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluatingpatient's oral health.-Complete dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planing procedures-Detects disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visuallyexamining gums; using probes to locate -periodontal disease and to assesslevels of recession; exposing and developing radiographic studies.-Educates patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions andpostoperative instructions; providing reminders of time of next dental hygienevisit.-Documents dental hygiene services and record and maintain records-Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures,rules, and regulations.-Maintains dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventorylevel; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders forsupplies; verifying receipt of supplies.-Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. xaygatp Skills/Qualifications:Use of Dental Technology, Dental Health Maintenance, Infection Control, HealthPromotion and Maintenance, Bedside Manner, Creating a Safe, EffectiveEnvironment, Listening, Teamwork, Administering Medication, Thoroughness, Self-DevelopmentWe would love to have you be a part of our family.
