Maintenance SupervisorMaintenance duties include: Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special-purpose machines as assigned Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts, and complete tasks as assigned Test malfunctioning machinery, troubleshoot and determine repairs, and discuss with plant supervisor for approval and repair as needed Replace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards Observe mechanical devices and equipment and listen to sounds to determine proper functioning or identify causes of trouble Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed Office duties include: Plan and schedule preventative maintenance (PMs) to minimize downtime and extend equipment life Create, manage, and close work orders through the CMMS (computerized maintenance system) Order and manage parts, supplies, and materials, ensuring proper inventory levels Coordinate with vendors and contractors, including requesting quotes, scheduling service, and tracking completion Develop and maintain maintenance logs, equipment records, and PM documentation Monitor machine performance and identify patterns that indicate recurring or developing issues Prioritize maintenance tasks based on safety, production needs, and equipment criticality Communicate maintenance plans and updates to production supervisors, plant leadership, and operators Ensure regulatory and safety compliance for equipment, procedures, and maintenance practices Participate in and lead safety meetings, audits, and root-cause analysis reviews Train, mentor, and guide maintenance staff or technicians (if applicable, depending on team structure) Support planning for capital projects, equipment upgrades, or process improvements Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step by step instructions Mechanical aptitude and ability are essential Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, electricity or related field preferred Lift tools, machinery parts and other objects weighing up to 80 pounds each Environment / Shift: Small dusty shop with 5 people in production. Lots of conveyor systems, a dryer/tumbler, tall silos that store the material, bagging machines, and stacking/palletizing machines. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $90,000.00 - $110,000.00/yr.
