Job Description Hand-digging and utilizing shoring methods to ensure trench stability.Laying and connecting various pipes (ductile iron, PVC, concrete) and installing conduits for fiber optics or electrical lines.Operating specialized tools such as jackhammers, compactors, air compressors, and occasionally light machinery like mini-excavators or forklifts.Identifying and fixing leaks, replacing damaged underground sections, and performing routine equipment maintenance.Identifying potential hazards, setting up Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) signs/cones, and adhering to OSHA standards for trench safety and hazardous material handling.
