You will get to work with engineers, technicians, and other IT professionals on a variety of environments, projects, and problems.ResponsibilitiesDesign and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)Configure and troubleshoot firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco, and Fortinet), routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and other toolsTroubleshoot networks on internal and customer environments independently and with other engineers, remotely and on-siteMentor team members on technical issues, train current and future engineersCommunicate with users professionallyCreate and maintain complete technical documentation and SOPsFully track time and work done on internal and customer tickets and projectsSuggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalabilityParticipate in a rotating on-call schedulePerform other job-related duties as neededYou should be deeply experienced with:Fortinet firewall configuration and network design, additional experience with Palo Alto preferredWi-Fi implementation and supportConfiguration and troubleshooting of network devices including switches and routersBGP in an MSPs, data centers, or other multi-tenant environmentsTCP/IP, Layer 2 (VLAN), and Layer 3Wireless (802.11x)WAN NNI circuitVoIP expertise preferredRequirements:3+ years of experience designing network architecture for small businesses and enterprises7+ years of network engineering experienceFCX, FCSS, NSE 6/7/8, or equivalent knowledge preferred. FCP, NSE 4/5, or equivalent certifications or knowledge will be consideredNetworking certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, CCIE, PCNSE, PCNSC, or equivalent are a plus
