Job DetailsDescriptionMinimum Skills and Abilities Required :Ability to drive a commercial truck/ CDL not required.Current valid Alabama driver’s licenseDriving record with no evidence of driving under the influence, reckless driving, excessive speeding, or other major traffic violationsManipulates bins weighing up to 60 poundsAbility to read written directionsAbility to make traffic-related decisions while drivingMust understand and obey all traffic lawsMust determine course of action in the event of a breakdown of vehicle, deteriorating road conditions in poor weather or other situations where consultation with supervisor is impossiblePossesses manual dexterity for using tools for general maintenanceEssential Functions And ResponsibilitiesServes as a representative of Brett/Robinson, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other employees of Brett/Robinson, owners, guests, and other members of the communityLoads and unloads truck for deliveries to Brett/Robinson propertiesDrives delivery truck from properties to the laundry facility, delivering and picking up linens and materialsMakes other stops as assignedKeeps vehicle fueled, clean and in good working condition. Reports any problems to Laundry ManagerKeeps record of maintenance work for truckReports safety hazardsAttends departmental meetingsPerforms other duties as assignedWorking ConditionsAbility to work scheduled hours, up to seven days per week. High humidity, heat, and cold are environmental factors with this position.
