RN – Acute Care Float Pool (Nights) Location: Marietta, GA Job Summary We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for an Acute Care Float Pool night shift role. This nurse will function as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary care team, delivering individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care across multiple acute care units. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, teamwork, and professional development. Shift Details Shift: Nights Hours: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM Schedule: Full-time Weekends: Every other weekend Holidays: 2 major and 2 minor holidays required Key Responsibilities Clinical Practice & Patient Care Perform the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care adapted to age, condition, and cultural needs Partner with patients and families to establish goals of care Utilize evidence-based clinical standards and best practices Safely administer medications, including IV Heparin Provide care in a fast-paced acute care environment and respond effectively to emergencies Teamwork & Collaboration Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care Participate in interdisciplinary communication, rounds, and case reviews Support a respectful, inclusive clinical environment Contribute to shared governance and performance improvement initiatives Professional Development Complete required competencies, education, and training Serve as a preceptor or mentor to nurses, staff, or students as needed Support nursing research, quality initiatives, and evidence-based improvements Resource Management Support efficient use of staffing, equipment, and clinical resources Assist in development and implementation of protocols to improve patient outcomes Participate in care planning across the continuum Required Qualifications Active RN license (Georgia or Compact) BLS certification required ACLS certification required NIHSS certification required IV Heparin administration experience Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma (Bachelor’s preferred) Completion of accredited nursing program Preferred Experience Acute care or inpatient nursing experience Float pool or multi-unit experience Strong clinical judgment and adaptability Required Skills Strong critical thinking and analytical skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Proficient with electronic documentation and basic computer skills Strong time management and organizational skills BI01 Job Type: Contract Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 36 per week Benefits: Health insurance Referral program Experience: Acute Care: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: RN License (Required) Work Location: In person
