Scrum Master

We are looking for an experienced Agile delivery specialist to support teams by guiding Scrum and Kanban practices across multiple workstreams. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who can lead with influence, strengthen collaboration between technical and business partners, and help teams deliver consistently through disciplined agile execution. The person in this role will foster continuous improvement, promote team accountability, and create an environment where impediments are addressed quickly and effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesAgile Leadership & FacilitationAct as Scrum Master for 2–3 Agile teams, guiding adherence to Scrum and Kanban principlesFacilitate all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and demosPromote a culture of continuous improvement and team accountabilityTrack and communicate team velocity, sprint progress, and release milestonesTeam Coaching & SupportCoach teams on Agile best practices, backlog management, and user story developmentEnsure delivery of high-quality, well-defined user stories with accurate estimationRemove impediments and protect the team from distractionsEmpower teams to self-organize and operate efficientlyCross-Functional CommunicationServe as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholdersCommunicate effectively with product owners, developers, management, and support teamsImprove transparency and ensure information is clearly communicated across the organizationBacklog & Delivery SupportAssist with backlog refinement and prioritizationEnsure quality and readiness of user storiesSupport defect/bug prioritization and resolutionProcess & Performance ManagementMaintain Agile process documentation and standardsDevelop and track team performance metrics to drive efficienciesFacilitate team working agreements and continuous improvement initiativesLead conflict resolution and foster a collaborative environment•Required QualificationsEducation & CertificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience (10+ years)Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent requiredSAFe certification or experience (preferred)Experience4+ years of Scrum Master or Agile Business Analyst experienceStrong understanding of Agile methodologies, values, and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts with development teams Key Skills & AttributesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively with diverse teams and personalitiesSelf-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesProven ability to coach teams and drive high performanceCollaborative decision-maker with a proactive mindsetSkilled in conflict resolution and stakeholder managementBPreferred QualificationsExperience working in a SAFe or scaled Agile environmentFamiliarity with development platforms, tools, and programming languagesTechnology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
