Role: ASIC & FPGA Design EngineerClient: Defense-AerospaceHourly Rate: up to $100/hr (W2, non-benefited)Length: 6-monthsLocation: Houston, TXClearance: Candidate must have the Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance. Not needed to start.Description:Work with low SWaP, radiation-hardened, space-rated devicesDevelop RTL/VHDL code, scripts, and supporting materials for FPGA design - including self-test designer-level testbenchesDebug and simulate circuitware using Xilinx development tools; deliver RTL source code changes, test data, and documentationCollaborate with systems and design engineers on concept of operations and design requirements; support verification engineers with FPGA design verificationContribute to design documentation per approved processes; attend team meetings and reviews as neededKeep all data and drawings on secure internal networks, following provided security guidanceRequired Skills:Experience synthesizing and building designs targeting Microchip and Xilinx/AMD FPGAs, including UltraScale+, RT PolarFire, Versal, and RTG4Proficiency with Libero, Vivado, and Synopsys tools across simulation, lint/CDC, and synthesis workflowsDesign experience in Verilog, SystemVerilog, and VHDLExperience debugging FPGA designs both in simulation and in the lab, including working across teams to resolve issuesExperience with SpaceWire interfacesExperience using Python for scripting and design supportAbility to ramp up quickly on existing designs and interpret requirements documentationWillingness to contribute to milestone review materials - including requirements documentation, analysis, and presentationsRequired Education and Experience:B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience; must possess 9+ years of related experienceIf interested in learning more about this position, please email your resume to KDunkin@geologics.com and I will call back with more information.
