Position Overview: Access Management Officer
The Access Management Officer is responsible for controlling, monitoring, and managing access within a Homeowners Association (HOA) community. This position is critical to maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, vendors, and staff while ensuring smooth and efficient access operations.
Officers must enforce HOA access policies, maintain accurate records, and provide professional, courteous service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and control entry and exit points, including gates, checkpoints, and access control systems
Verify identity of residents, visitors, contractors, and service providers
Maintain accurate logs for visitors, deliveries, and vendor access
Enforce HOA access rules, policies, and procedures consistently and professionally
Respond promptly to access-related inquiries, incidents, or complaints
Coordinate with on-site security personnel, property management, and local authorities as needed
Report suspicious activity, violations, or access breaches to the Security Operations Center (SOC)
Assist during emergencies by following established safety and evacuation protocols
Ensure access control equipment is operational and report malfunctions immediately
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (additional security or administrative training preferred)
Prior experience in access control, security, customer service, or property management preferred
Basic computer proficiency and ability to operate access management systems
Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to remain calm, professional, and impartial in all situations

Shift Schedule
Shift Types: Day, Swing, and Overnight shifts available
Schedule: TBD
Days: Includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required
Schedule subject to change based on HOA needs and operational requirements
Budgeted Hours
Position Type: Full-Time
Budgeted Hours: 40 hours per week
Overtime may be available based on operational needs and approval
Working Conditions
May require standing or sitting for extended periods
Indoor and outdoor post assignments (gates, checkpoints, guardhouses)
Exposure to varying weather conditions
Shift work including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Timely and accurate reporting and documentation
High standards of reliability, integrity, and accountability
Physical Fitness & Readiness Standards (Required)
All applicants must pass a physical fitness assessment demonstrating job-related readiness consistent with armed patrol and access control duties, including but not limited to:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to respond quickly to emergencies or access incidents
Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment as required
Failure to meet these minimum standards will result in disqualification.
