Job Title: Sales Manager/ Business Development Manager – Automotive (OEM & Tier Suppliers)Location: Detroit, MI (Flexible / Hybrid options available)Reports To: Director of SalesAbout the RoleWe have been assigned by our US owned global automotive supplier to recruit an experienced Sales Manager/ BDM – Automotive to lead and grow their OEM and Tier supplier business across North America. This role will focus on developing strategic relationships with major automotive manufacturers and Tier 1 / Tier 2 suppliers while managing and developing a high-performing sales team.The role can be based in Detroit and there is some flexibility on location for the right candidate within the Michigan/WI regions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a team of automotive sales professionals across OEM and Tier supplier accountsDrive revenue growth and strategic sales initiatives within the automotive sectorBuild and maintain strong relationships with major OEMs and Tier 1 / Tier 2 suppliersIdentify new business opportunities and expand existing customer partnershipsDevelop and execute sales strategies aligned with company objectivesCollaborate with engineering, product management, and operations teams to deliver customer solutionsMonitor market trends and competitive activity within the automotive electronics and manufacturing spaceProvide forecasting, reporting, and performance management for the sales teamKey RequirementsHunter Sales person with a proven track record of developing business and growing accounts with experience in automotive sales, ideally selling into OEMs and Tier 1 / Tier 2 suppliersPrevious sales leadership or team management experienceDemonstrated ability to grow strategic accounts and drive revenueStrong communication, negotiation, and leadership skillsWillingness to travel as requiredWhat We OfferCompetitive base salary + performance-based bonusOpportunity to lead and shape a growing automotive sales teamWork with global automotive customers and innovative technologiesCareer progression within an expanding organisation
