PreOp/PACU Nurse - PRN

Inova Franconia Springfield Ambulatory Surgery Center is currently hiring a seasoned PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to become an integral member of our team, delivering unparalleled care to our patients. The position will be standard PRNwith varied hours and days based on the needs of the unit. WORK SCHEDULE: Day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidaysWHAT YOU'LL DOCare for surgical patients as they recover from anesthesiaMonitor and chart vital signs, such as heart or respiratory rate, blood pressure, or oxygen levelComfort patients as they wake; may be required to gently restrain patientsCheck surgical site for excessive bleeding or swellingEducate patients on care for the surgical wound or other post-discharge care. Cross-train to work in PreOperative area to meet the needs of the unitEXPERIENCE YOU'LL NEED:One or more years of PreOp PACU/Critical Care nursing experience requiredPrior PreOp/PostOp experience in an ASC is strongly desiredCurrent licensure in Virginia as a Registered NurseCurrent BLS certificationACLS/PALS certification preferred within six (6) months of date of hireAPPLICABLE BENEFITS INCLUDE:Immediate eligibility for 401(k) retirement plan with company match
