Part time janitorial

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing as needed. Handle commercial cleaning duties in various settings including offices, warehouses, and residential properties. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the overall upkeep of the building. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly. Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations. Qualifications Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required. Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment used in commercial and industrial settings is an advantage. Experience in floor care, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types. Familiarity with residential painting or porter duties is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Must be physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
