This role will include significant development and testing of systems and test tools in addition to traditional software development activities. At Ultra Maritime the Software Engineer will have the opportunity to support the development and selection of key technologies for the Navy and will have the opportunity to work with complex software algorithms and cutting-edge digital signal processing hardware.Job DescriptionDevelopment with a major object-oriented programming language such as C++ (preferred) and/or JavaUse of proper coding practices through the development life cycleUML or other design modeling techniquesLinux-based operating systems and code developmentDevelopment using basic editors such as VI, emacs, Gedit, etc.Working with a team to jointly develop a system during all phases of the development lifecycleStrong attention to detail and work ethicRequired Skills:Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering disciplineAbility to obtain a US Government security clearance.
