Your contributions will directly impact our ability to provide top-notch service and maintain our standard of excellence.Principal Responsibilities:Maintenance & Repairs: You will take the lead in performing preventive maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and machinery at the post-collection facility and container shop. Your advanced knowledge of engine systems, emission systems, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, vehicle body control systems, heating and cooling systems, and welding techniques will enable you to complete repairs safely and efficiently.Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: You will expertly conduct diagnostics and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to identify necessary repairs. When needed, you will participate in road tests to verify the effectiveness of your repairs.Safety Standards: You will ensure that all repairs and maintenance work meet our rigorous safety standards and comply with applicable federal and state regulations. Your proactive involvement in inspections and your ability to report safety concerns will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe work environment, solidifying your position as a cornerstone of our safety culture.Inventory Management: You will take ownership of maintaining proper control over parts and equipment inventory. Communicating with supervisors about parts needs and assisting in budget-conscious purchasing will be instrumental in keeping operations running smoothly.Documentation: You will meticulously document all preventive and corrective maintenance work performed, maintaining accurate records and logs as required by the company.Safety Protocols: You will adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and full compliance with regulatory requirements.
