Providing specialized physical therapy services in an outpatient hospital setting, this role focuses on comprehensive patient evaluation, individualized treatment planning, and collaboration across therapy disciplines to foster effective recovery and return to community activities. The position involves directing therapy services for assigned patients, educating patients, families, students, and coworkers, and upholding high standards of professionalism and compliance with organizational policies and ethical codes.Key Responsibilities:Evaluate patients thoroughly and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans aligned with patient goals and physician directives.Delegate and guide discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.Design functional treatment programs aimed at safe and effective community reintegration.Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation, including goal writing and medical necessity letters.Promote and participate in a safe work and treatment environment, emphasizing patient and employee safety.Serve as an educator and mentor for patients, families, students, and colleagues.Adhere to State Practice Act regulations, maintain licensure, and complete continuing education.Engage in professional development activities and contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives.Qualifications/Desired Experience:Valid licensure in physical therapy in accordance with State Practice Act.Experience in outpatient hospital therapy settings preferred.Strong clinical reasoning and treatment planning skills.Commitment to patient safety and quality care.Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.Professionalism aligned with organizational Code of Conduct and industry standards.Location: This opportunity is based in Monterey, California, known for its scenic coastline, vibrant arts scene, and rich history.
