Summer Custodial

Dassel Cokato Public Schools is looking for additional Summer Custodial Help. The Summer Custodial Help position supports the facilities team in maintaining clean, safe, and orderly environments across district buildings and grounds during the summer break. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in creating clean spaces and are comfortable with hands-on, physical work.DutiesPerform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floorsWash windows, walls, furniture, and equipmentEmpty trash receptacles and replace linersDeep clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areasAssist with moving and arranging furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning projects or summer maintenance activitiesStrip, wax, and buff floors using appropriate equipment and techniques (training provided if necessary)Clean and sanitize restrooms thoroughly, restocking supplies as neededSupport maintenance staff with light repair tasks and special projectsMaintain custodial supplies and equipment in a clean, orderly, and secure mannerFollow all safety procedures and report any unsafe conditions to the supervisorPerform other related duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBasic understanding of cleaning practices, materials, and safety standardsAbility to properly and safely use cleaning chemicals and custodial equipmentStrong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanlinessAbility to take direction and complete tasks independently or as part of a teamPhysical ability to lift and carry objects (up to 50 lbs), bend, stoop, reach, and work on feet for extended periodsGood communication skills and a professional attitude when interacting with coworkers and supervisorsAbility to follow schedules and work efficiently within assigned timelinesQualificationsPrevious custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience is helpful but not requiredReliable transportation to and from the work locationAvailability to work flexible daytime hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends if needed
