Driver/Material Handler

Driver / Material Handler e-Waste, LLC – Hudson OH – e-Waste is a major electronics recycler that responsibly disposes of customer’s end-of-life assets. Our facility is located in Hudson OH Job responsibilities: · Coordinate with Sales Leader and Warehouse Supervisor on the most efficient approach to conducting pick-ups of equipment at customer locations · Conduct onsite pickup assessments at new customer locations · Drive company box truck (or alternate vehicle) to customer facility, assist in packing equipment for transit (palletize with or without gaylord boxes), load pallets/gaylords onto truck, and securely transport equipment back to e-Waste’s facility · Unload truck at e-Waste facility utilizing forklift or pallet jack · Weigh and label inbound equipment and move into secure storage area for subsequent processing · When not performing customer pick-ups, driver will assist in the sorting and processing of customer equipment received Required skills: · Experience in driving a straight truck (26’ box trucks) · Clean driving record/insurable with company’s insurance · Ability to make good impression with customers (this position is the main point of contact with most of our customers) with the ability to converse in a professional manner · Adaptable to customer needs and pickup restrictions · CDL is not required · Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds. In addition, have the strength to roll pallets weighing up to 500 pounds with a pallet jack onto our truck(s) · Ability to pass drug/alcohol screening Preferred skills: · Tow motor certification a plus (or experience with tow motors as we can certify) Other: · Job is based out of our headquarters in Hudson OH · It is primarily a Monday through Friday, 8 to 5 job · Virtually all out of town trips can be accomplished in a day (back and forth in less than 8 hours) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: Health insurance Paid time off Paid training Referral program Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
