I&E Technician

Position Overview:Linde is seeking an experienced I&E Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of bulk gas generation facilities in the Hillsboro, OR area. This role is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation, electrical, control, and analytical systems critical to safe, reliable, and compliant plant operations. The I&E Technician will work closely with operations, maintenance teams, customers, and contractors to ensure equipment availability, process reliability, and adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.Purpose of the Position:This role will provide technical execution of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks on relevant instrumentation, control and analytical systems for bulk gas generation plants.This role will operate bulk gas generation plants as needed.Key Responsibilities:Understand and adhere to company safety work policies and operating practices. Report safety incidents and near misses.Startup, operate, and maintain air separation and bulk gas delivery systems, including associated tanks, purifiers, controls, and fill/offload systems. Troubleshoot shutdowns and perform corrective maintenance to allow equipment/plant restarts.Coordinate scheduling of planned maintenance and perform some preventative maintenance on system components.Operate units to continuously supply products at the appropriate quantities and qualities safely and economically, complying with all environmental regulations and daily customer requirements.Monitor process performance and makes appropriate adjustments to remedy deviations and align to the specified norm.Generate energy control plans, perform lock-out tag-out, correctly and safely permit maintenance work, and oversee contractors as necessary.Safely troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, fans, and valves.Prepare and execute projects to improve facility availability and reliability.Read, interpret and maintain (as needed) P&IDs and schematic wiring diagrams in compliance with SOP’s, QA, and MOC policies.Plan, schedule, coordinate and execute major installations, maintenance activities, calibration, testing and validation of industrial instrumentation and analyzer systems including:Control valves and related actuators & positionersOlder vintage hard-wired instrument systemsModern transmitter-based instrument systemsGas ChromatographsProduct Purity AnalyzersMaintain and troubleshoot PLC/ DCS systems.Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment (
