Software Engineering – Senior Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineering – Senior Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.This role will focus on designing and operating secure, scalable Java-based microservices that support critical financial services technology. The Senior Engineer will help deliver AI-enabled capabilities, strengthen application security, and improve performance across event-driven systems. This position partners closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into reliable, high-quality technical solutions.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $122,500 – $192,500 annuallyResponsibilities Design and operate secure, scalable Java microservices Implement LLM-powered features with rigorous coding standards Utilize AI-assisted tools for development while ensuring quality output Lead discussions and reviews to enhance code quality and architectural clarity Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements and security compliance Identify and fix performance bottlenecks through architectural improvementsQualifications Extensive hands-on experience with core Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture Experience integrating LLM APIs, including Anthropic, Bedrock, and OpenAI, into production services Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and their use cases Strong foundation in application security, with a focus on encryption and secure API design Fluency in tuning high-throughput systems and event-driven architectures Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices Exceptional communication skills for articulating technical complexitiesBenefits Inclusive workplace culture emphasizing core values Opportunities for professional impact and development Competitive benefits and rewards programs People-first environment promoting work/life balance and social interactionOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
